ISO/TC 126/SC 3/WG 3 is a standard by the International Organization for Standardization. The scope of it covers vapor products defined as disposable or reusable devices (including vapor devices, e-cigarettes, e-cigars, e-pipes, e-shishas and other products in the range) with single-use or refillable cartridges, which transform e-liquid into an aerosol inhaled by a user, including e-liquid intended for transformation into aerosol.
ISO/TC126/SC3 is the parent standard related to standardization of terminology, testing methodology and product information for vapor products. The analytical methods for testing vapor products emissions is the area of responsibility of the working group 3. The standard is applicable to the Vapor Emissions Test carried out with the help of the HAVC routine analytical vaping machine. The vapor is collected in special filters for further emissions testing. After performing calibration and connecting filter pads and devices to HAVC, a puff session according to the recommended testing methodology can be conducted.
